Welcome to Wickly Wise Women Entrepreneurs. Today I have a special guest, Juy Romney. I would like to welcome you to Wickly Wise Women Entrepreneurs. I'm very excited to learn more about you. And I'm literally going to have you just tell us more about you, about your podcast, and take us on that journey.
SPEAKER_01:Sure. Thank you so much for having me, Constance. It's such a pleasure being on your podcast. I am Jui Rami. I have a podcast called Sacred Balance, and the podcast is about sharing spectacular stories of people who have gone through amazing transformation in their life using the science and technology called inner engineering. It's a complete yogic technology. It's a 21-minute practice given by Sadhguru. He's a visionary yoga master, and he's just an amazing master who has given us this beautiful, amazing technology in the form of yoga. And when you practice this 21-minute practice, it does amazing things in your life. And so my podcast is entirely dedicated to that. Along with that, I'm very passionate about environment. And so environmental-related topics, I invite farmers, I invite environmental enthusiasts who are, you know, passionate about climate change and doing something in their own community, whether it's just working in their small garden to doing something, you know, at a political level or you know, something big. So everything from small level to all the way up to high level, I'm interested in talking with you if you are involved in an environment. So those are the two things that are deeply passionate about. And I think when you're passionate about something, as you can see, even the words have sometimes trouble coming out because you're so passionate that words have sometimes trouble forming into a sentence, you know. That's how the passion is. It's so deep and flowing uh into my being that even talking about Sadhguru, I was I was sort of, you know, not able to, you know, fully, fully gather my thoughts because what Sadguru is and what he has given me cannot be contained in words, cannot be contained in logic. He is something beyond this realm of physical. If you're looking to explore dimensions just beyond the physical, Sadguru is your guy. He can he can transform you, he can deliver you to a different dimension altogether. So if you're seeking as a seeker, someone who wants to truly, you know, go deeper into the life's questions and and and and and and figure out what this whole life is about. Where did we come from? Where will we be going? How do I make the most out of this life and create something that's just not for my own well-being, but also the well-being for the future generations to come. So in in a in a small sentence, that's what the podcast is about. Is to create a world that that is involved in just not my well-being, but inclusive consciousness, raising human consciousness to bring well-being to everyone around.
SPEAKER_00:And wouldn't you agree, especially now more than ever, with our global pandemic? We all need that.
SPEAKER_01:Absolutely. And we have caused it. This is like a small side effect of a bigger problem, right? If we don't fix what's really, you know, happening, and if we just put a band-aid on it, we're gonna face huge problems in the future. Our future generations will have to face climate wars. And I think that time is not far enough. If we don't take action now to climate, you know, change that's happening. If you saw the summer, you know, California was burning, parts of the world were were so hot. How can we ignore this? This is directly related to our own, you know, human, you know, consumption. Like we want to just buy and consume and and basically, you know, rip Mother Earth apart and not really care for what's happening and creating so much waste and and just the greed for you know having so much, wanting so much, but not really realizing that our true well-being lies within us. And if we can explore going inward, if we can explore that inner dimension, then in is the only way out. And all the solutions that people face right now, if you look at people, people are bewildered. Like, what do I do if I'm just working from home? How do I fill my time? Because people can't go to bars like they used to and get drunk because they can't be in closed settings. Once the winter comes, they'll again feel suffocated. People feel anxious and depressed, and you know, they're taking it out on each other in their own family situation. So they're within four walls, there's a lot of drama happening, and all because they don't know how to get along, they don't know how to how to mentally, you know, deal with everything that's happening in the world. So everything begins with our own inner journey. Our inner world creates the outer reality. And if we can fix or if we can do something to enhance our inward nature of who we truly are and get into the core of who we are, then we can fix everything outside and we can do better outside.
SPEAKER_00:Oh, I totally agree with you, and I do think it starts center first. Yes. And I actually live in Arizona and we we've had a lot of wildfires. We always do, but yes, we've had a lot as well. I do have a question for you around now. I was very involved in Begrim yoga for several weeks.
SPEAKER_01:Yes.
SPEAKER_00:And now I know that you're talking about something a little different, it sounds like. Can you tell us a little more about the method, the system that you're talking about?
SPEAKER_01:Yes, yes. So Sadhguru, as I said, he comes from the lineage of the origin. If you if you go all the way to really grasp where he comes from, he comes from the very first teacher of yoga, the Adiyogi himself. So his methods come directly from that lineage. And Bhikkram Yoga, I'm sure you have seen what happened if you saw the Netflix or you know, so this is this is not Sadhguru is not in that category. Sadhguru is the real deal. He he's, if you just watch his even just single YouTube video, you're gonna know that this guy knows what he's talking about with utter clarity and the logic that he brings, even though he's beyond logic, the logic he will present in his his words will just baffle you. You would be like, okay, you make sense. And and the technologies, the science and technology he offers in the form of yoga, it truly works. It's timely tried and tested. And that's the technology that he offers that is authentic and truly tested among you know generations of people. So and it's very scientific, it's 112 ways of well-being. So he he brings you technology from that, science and technology of yoga from there, and he gives you in the form of different yogic practices that you do. And the first one is called inner engineering, which is a 21-minute yoga practice that you do, and it brings you clarity in your life, it brings you health and well-being, but beyond that, it aligns your mind, body, emotions, and energy, and it brings you into a complete balance. That's why I named my podcast Sacred Balance, because it brings you in that balance where everything aligns for you in your life, and the best for you starts happening in your life. So no matter what's happening outside, you are so aligned within that the best for you starts aligning and the best for you starts happening. Because, you know, we all have our dreams, we all have our goals and visions, but wouldn't you like to manifest something that you have not even imagined for yourself? For me, you know, I never in a million years thought I would have a podcast. But look, I have a podcast because when I started practicing practicing this yogic technology, things started happening within me, things started happening outside of me, things started flowing into a certain lubricant grace that just opened up the channels, that opened up the possibilities, and people came to help me. Like you reached out to me, right? I didn't reach out to you. That just like that, the podcast happened. People came to me and said, said, okay, I'm gonna help you. You do this intro, I'm gonna help you with this promotion, I'm gonna help you, you put it out there on Instagram. So it just sort of like organically, my podcast was born. So my the point I'm trying to make is when you address your inward, you know, who you are at the core of it, the core of it, core of who you are, when you when you work on that, the outside manifests itself. And that's what this yoga is all about. It's the truest, most authentic form of yoga. And not to not to you know put bikram down or anything, but you know, that that's not what this is. This is truly, you know, timely tested for generations, and uh it comes from a very uh scientific base scientific base. So the essence of true what truly yoga is is where this is coming from.
SPEAKER_00:Now, what was going on in your life to make you seek that? Like, because apparently there was something, or you know, if you can share with me, like yeah, um actually looking for or was it let's talk that out a little bit.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, absolutely. Um, my in my life, I think I have been always been a seeker, you know, all of us are actually our seekers, but I was a I was a very deep seeker in a sense that even though I come from my background, is my my family's from India, so you know, usually Indian people they you know will go to temples and things like that. I was never religious, but very spiritual. You know, I had a spiritual bent of mind. And I would always ask my dad because he was quite uh established in India, so he would have access to many things that could get me into places and introduce me to people in what I was seeking. So I wanted to meet the highest um level of yogis and monks and masters and visit different kinds of yoga schools. And I would, you know, he would give me because he had a press car and you know, he would give me a driver and a car and be like, okay, you go explore. So I had that kind of access. And so I was always seeking, but I didn't meet anyone authentic like Sadguru, and I had traveled all across India, you know, like the places that normally travelers wouldn't even have access to. Those kind of people I try to, you know, meet and seek and learn from. But until one day I was sitting in my living room watching PBS for all things, you know, and and one lady comes on this cultural program on Sunday morning to interview Sadhguru. And as soon as my eyes landed on Sadhguru, I said, This is it. This is this, this is it. Something authentic has just come in through my TV screen, pouring into my being, and I couldn't deny his authenticity and who he was, with the piercing clarity he was speaking, with the wisdom that he was pouring through my TV screen into my being. I couldn't, I couldn't deny his authenticity. And I said, I must explore this, I must seek this out, and I must try it out. But just because I come from India, I don't have to believe whether it's bikram or sadhguru. I need to practice this yoga, the science and technology and try it out and see what it does for me. So I'm at most almost like a science student. I took it as an experiment, as a hypothesis, and I played with it. And I said, let's see what it does for me. And it has it has done wonders for me. So I'm not someone who sold immediately on anything. I'm uh I'm actually a very hard-not. Like I said, I traveled all across India and the four-letter word guru, you know, I look at it very, very carefully. And I don't just look at it like, okay, oh, because he looks legit, I'm just gonna make him my guru. I'm gonna try it, I'm gonna test it out, and I'm going to really, really look at it in logical and objective form in every aspect to see if this is a real deal. And so I did, and like I said, it did wonders for me within me, as well as creating many possibilities outside of me. So this science and technology in the form of yoga truly does work. Otherwise, I wouldn't even be paying you know, sitting here talking about it. It, you know, I'm not a paid promoter for Isha Foundation or Sadhguru. They're not paying me anything. But because this yoga is so authentic, like I said, you know, tried and tested for generations, it works. Uh so I'm sitting here and talking about it because I feel that if something works, why not share it? Why not share it with as many people as possible? Because suffering is everywhere. People are suffering and struggling. The amount of suffering people go through is just enormous. So if I can be of service to someone in making them feel more at peace, more at ease, more joy, more bliss, and then also help, you know, their dreams, whatever they want to create in their life, a possibility, why not help people and why not tell stories of people who aren't practicing this technology and share those stories? So that's that's essentially what I do.
SPEAKER_00:I am really amazed with the passion you have, which you know it's really nice. It's really nice to see, and to me, that's very energizing. Yeah, I do have a question for you because I have a feeling you heard this when you were younger. Were you ever told you were wise beyond your years?
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, I think like an old soul is what I heard, you know, and then so I I had a stepmom, and my stepmom was almost like very cruel. And you know, she would do things that that she would think would bother me, but instead, what has happened in my life is had because it it made me stronger, it made me more wiser, and it all the things that she did almost backfired on her and made me the person who I am today. So it's really it's really good to have people like that in your in your life. You would think that people, whether it's your colleagues or whether someone in your family, you know, that annoying cousin or whatever, you know, in my case, my stepmother, whoever it could be, you know, could be a hindrance that you may think, but they could be a blessing in disguise because they can make you more wiser, they can make you more stronger, they can they can bring you to a different level of possibility within yourself you wouldn't have explored otherwise. Because if everybody was coddling you, you would just sometimes, you know, just be living in that bubble and not really fully explore other possibilities. But because I was never coddled that way, I was almost put into like, I remember in summertime she wouldn't let me turn on the fan and it would be like scorching hot. So now, you know, when I travel to very like extreme heat climate, you know, sometimes I would go to India and stuff. Most people would go crazy. It doesn't bother me because I developed strength within me to overcome advent adversities like that. So it's really good to have things like that in your life that test you, that that really, you know, kind of poke and prod at you and kind of, you know, at an early age, especially, because it it strengthens you in a way that most other children are just kind of, you know, lululu do. You know, that kind of stuff, I no one ever did to me. And I'm grateful that no one ever did to me because it made me the person who I am today. I I don't expect to be coddled and I don't, and especially like if you look at adults nowadays, most people get in and out of relationships so often because they're most people love the attention. But but when you grow up in a way where you don't seek so much attention, there's a different level of strength that is born within you. Not seeking anyone's attention, but really becoming wiser, becoming more, you know, going towards the meditative process within you brings you to a whole different level of possibility within yourself. Because you're not just seeking all the time from others, but you're actually at ease and at peace within you. So if someone does come, hey, great. If no one comes and gives you attention, that's good too. So you know what I mean? You don't have so much of like, I must have this kind of a, you know, that anxiety that people have, that I must have uh, you know, this kind of you know, social thing around me, that's social, like everyone is saying you're so great and you're so, you know. We don't it we shouldn't have to have that. We should just be doing so many wonderful things that whether someone says you're doing a great job or whether you're not, it doesn't matter. We should just anyway be energized within ourselves to push and propel ourselves in a way whether it doesn't matter what anyone says, doing a great job or not, we should have enough power within us to just go with it, you know.
SPEAKER_00:I I think that you've got a great message that needs to get out there, and I definitely want to help you spread that word.
SPEAKER_01:Oh, how sweet.
SPEAKER_00:Well, because I really believe in what you're doing too, and something that I'm definitely going to talk to you more about. Sure. What I would like to do though, I kind of kind of coming up on the end of the interview.
SPEAKER_01:Yes.
SPEAKER_00:Can you tell us a little bit more about yourself, how we can connect with you, yes, where we can find you, and maybe just you know, a word of encouragement for everyone.
SPEAKER_01:Sure. So I'm at Sacred Balance on Twitter and at Sacred underscore balance underscore on Instagram. And if you go there, you will find a link tree which has all my podcast episodes. And so we're on multiple platforms. We're on Apple, Spotify, Google, you know, good pods, and just 10 different other, you know, avenues that you can listen to our podcast on. So, so, you know, we we we do this for fun, we do this for, you know, just sharing wonderful, spectacular stories of people who are using science and technology of inner engineering and this yoga and creating magic in their life and spectacular possibilities that they never even thought possible. So if you're interested in being energized and you know inspired and taking a step towards your inward journey, this is a one-stop shop for you to check out the stories and listen to it. And and I would say in this pandemic, don't don't go into, you know, if if you watch this movie called Sideways, where where he said we says, you know, don't go to the dark side. I would just say during this pandemic, don't go to the dark side, but instead find this inner light within you. Choose yoga. And when you choose yoga, choose the most authentic form of yoga, not just like a studio yoga that everyone does, but this type of yoga that has been tried and tested, and it's so authentic, it truly works. So try it out and see what it does for you. Do it as a student, do it as a as an you know, experiment and see what it does for you and test it out for yourself. Hey, if it works, great. If not, you know, at least you gave it a shot. So that's my message for everybody.
